9/11 Message From President – Serve the State. Increase War.

In the name of an American tragedy, President Barack Obama has called America to make September 11th a national day of service.  He also called for Americans to bolster the support of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

President Obama campaigned in the 2008 presidential election as a candidate of peace.  He frequently spoke of pulling out troops in Iraq and reducing the foreign military operations.  Many were skeptical of the claim. Once again, the government skeptics and cynics were proven correct.

It is also strange that such a terrible event like 9/11 be used as a day of community service and service to the state.

Here are questions to ask about 9/11 Nation Service Day:

  • What does serving our community and our government have to do with 9/11?
  • Doesn’t the government exist to serve the people and not the other way around?
  • Why are people being asked more and more frequently to serve the state and sacrifice for the state?
  • Why does America now celebrate and value service to the state more than liberty?

September  11th is not about community service or a message of increasing our wars.

September 11th should be a day that each can reflect in his or her own way.  After all, every American has his own thoughts and feelings about the events.  On this day you will find some at gatherings mourning those lost.  Some people will be using this to reinforce their anger and opposition of Muslim terrorists.  Some people will be calling for the government to re-open independent investigations on the events of 9/11 because they think there are too many inconsistencies and uncanny coincidences.  In my opinion, every person has the right to think what they want and express their opinions.  After all, that is what a free society is all about, isn’t it?

It is curious that this is the message we receive from our President on such a day.
