For one hour, people who lack the ability to think for themselves turned out their lights in the name of a scientific theory, namely global warming theory. Myself, I made sure to keep plenty of my incandescent light bulbs burning in the name of healthy skepticism and liberty.
You see, I simply don’t believe conventional thinking just because there is a so-called consensus on this theory. People who are convinced of something because of a consensus should not be taken seriously in the first place. Whenever hundreds of scientists gather to speak about theories counter to the conventional beliefs they simply get ignored, marginalized or fired from their positions.
Global warming theory was featured in Al Gore’s video An Inconvenient Truth. The movie also featured 11 inaccuracies. Not bad for a politician. That has not stopped the government school system from indoctrinating young folks with this movie. That said, the global warming theory is chock full of very convenient coincidences that fit nicely into certain political agendas. If you want to find out why they call it the green movement follow the money.
To top it off, the government plans to ban the good light bulbs. You know… the ones that don’t give you an eye strain headache…the ones that don’t have an annoying buzzing sound…the ones you don’t have to warm up before you can see something…the ones not full of mercury…the ones you don’t have to have a manual for to safely cleaning up when broken.
Would it be too much to ask exercise a little reason, common sense and healthy skepticism about this unproven scientific theory?
