It could probably be pretty easy to form an argument against the appointment for Sotomayor.  After all, she is a person that Obama is trying to appoint.  We have seen the kind of people he appoints. They are the kind of people who want to raise taxes on honest citizens while not paying taxes themselves.  More or less he appoints people with sketchy records and no respect for the Constitution.

Then again, that is not all that different from any other President, republican or democrat.

Is Sonia Sotomayor going to be a poor choice? Most likely.

It is really saying something when a Russian news source is pointing out the fall of US capitalism. However, in America people are going through the motions hardly noticing the dramatic changes taking place in our country.

Barack Obama has taken over where George W. Bush left off.  There is no sign of liberty or freedom anywhere.  This is the case with Barack Obama’s economic policy.  Obama’s policies of nationalization of industries is being propagandized in the media.  It is difficult for me to conceive of American people not being outraged that the government is, by means of force and compulsion, interfering in and taking over aspects of private business.  Of course, Americans that favor a huge central planning federal government that interferes in the lives of private citizens outside the bounds of free market and the Constitution are Americans in name only.

For all of you who think America is the shining example of freedom of the press and freedom of expression, you may want to read this article.

US Ranked 36th in Freedom of The Press

“If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” - George Washington

It is a growing opinion that the media is no longer a reliable source of information. This is supported by the decreasing sales and advertising revenue in many of the big newspapers in America.

Back on January 1, 2009 I had posted about a possible newspaper bailout.  Now another unscrupulous politician, Benjamin Cardin (D) is proposing The Newspaper Revitalization Act.

If this ever moves forward, there is going to be a lot of nonsense from politicians about the newspaper industry and tradition, and so on.

The fact is that they have been failing because they: Read More »

Official portrait of United States Secretary o...
Timothy Geithner, Treasury Secretary & non-taxpayer. (Image via Wikipedia)

You have to love 21st century America. For a moment let’s forget how anti-liberty, oppressive and foolish the tax structure  is for the citizens of America. We are told “taxes are a part of life” or “How can we pave our roads if not for taxes?”. These statements are standard replies and are convenient ways to make people feel silly for questioning the tax system. The fact is they should.

All that being said and taking the system for what it is, today a person who evades taxes, Timothy Geithner, is being sworn in as treasury secretary.  Meanwhile, middle class people who have long since decided to give up on the system are barely paying attention.  Of course, they hardly have time. Both parents are working hard supporting and protecting their families from the terrible economic policies that come from DC.  People simply don’t have the time to keep up with the skulduggery and unscrupulous behavior of the people claiming to lead America.

Election after election I have heard people say something that irritates me to no end. It goes like this. People will ask “Hey, buddy, who you gonna vote for?”. Then the gentleman will say he is voting for a candidate that is neither democrat nor republican. That’s when it happens. The person who asked the question will say ” Oh, buddy, what are you doing that for? You are just throwing away your vote”.

Can there be a more brainwashed thing to say?

Why is voting for the person you feel is best suited for an elected office a wasted vote? Is it because the two major parties and the mainstream media tell you over and over again that you are wasting your vote?

Modern Political success = what side can write the better soap opera

This political soap opera only goes to show how much our “leaders” and society as a whole have changed for the worse. How can anyone who is informed argue on behalf of either party?

It must be nice for Obama to have 90% of mainstream media outlets writing his political soap opera as a one sided made-to-order fairy tale playing on the fantasies, fears and envy of the working class.
