The recent holocaust museum shooting is a tragedy. However, the media and politicians leverage any unfortunate incident that touches the following:
- A party agenda
- A controversial topic
- Political correctness
- A populist sentiment
As evidence of this fact, here is a recent quote:
“If yesterday’s Holocaust Museum slaying … is not a clarion call for banning hate speech, I don’t know what is,”

President Barack Hussein Obama is set to appoint a pay czar, Kenneth Feinberg. The job of this czar is to interfere with private markets.
Let’s strip away all of the fancy talk. Mr. Feinberg will be overseeing the pay of executives. One has to wonder if executives feel foolish enough for taking government money (although other companies have been strong-armed into taking government $). It can be sure that some people will be very supportive of limiting executive pay. However, one only needs to ask himself one question to put this in perspective. How would you like it if a government agent stopped by your work tomorrow and told you that the government, not your boss, was cutting your pay by 10% or 20% or even 40% or more?
But still there will be people who see business and capitalism as evil and will be behind any law or regulation that takes money from those who have achieved wealth. Somehow, this is not viewed as discrimination even when the government discriminately takes from one group for the benefit of another discriminately chosen group.

It is really saying something when a Russian news source is pointing out the fall of US capitalism. However, in America people are going through the motions hardly noticing the dramatic changes taking place in our country.
Barack Obama has taken over where George W. Bush left off. There is no sign of liberty or freedom anywhere. This is the case with Barack Obama’s economic policy. Obama’s policies of nationalization of industries is being propagandized in the media. It is difficult for me to conceive of American people not being outraged that the government is, by means of force and compulsion, interfering in and taking over aspects of private business. Of course, Americans that favor a huge central planning federal government that interferes in the lives of private citizens outside the bounds of free market and the Constitution are Americans in name only.

Let me share with you a recent experience I had with a Click It orTicket police stop. There are a couple reasons I would like to share this information with you.
- Make you aware of how low the government will go
- Help you recognize this legalized form of extortion and harassment of free citizens
Here is how it went. I was driving down a road that has a series of hills. So there is a stretch of flat road that leads into a couple hills with a valley in the middle. On either side of the the set of hills on the flat stretch there is a pickup truck on the side of the road. In it sits a police officer. He is not in his uniform. He is in a flannel shirt and a ball cap. He is there watching cars go by and radioing ahead what cars had people with seat belts not buckled. The drivers drive up the hill and after cresting over the hill they have a surprise.
On the other side of the hill is the sting area with a dozen patrol cars. 4 were on one side. 4 were in the middle. 4 were on the other side. Here’s where they would stop the cars.
At this point a police officer would smugly ask if people were wearing their seat belt. They would let you know you had better tell the truth. Then they would let you know that they had their undercover cop spies radioing ahead. They were very proud to be harassing their fellow citizens and neighbors.
There were probably anywhere from 15 – 20 police officers involved in this clever operation. Most were writing tickets busily. Others were waiting in cars for people that might be attempting to turn around. And of course there were the police officers stopping cars and trying to intimidate people coming home from their jobs to see their families. I was not so proud to be an American seeing this whole shakedown.

Here is a clip from the show Freedom Watch. On this show they play a clip of a 23 year old man working for The Campaign for Liberty and traveling with money made while fund raising at an event. He was doing nothing wrong and simply wanted to catch a flight.
In the recording that the young man cleverly recorded with some of the nice features on modern phones, you will hear the young man being bullied and detained against his will by the authorities while they ask him questions that according to the law the young man does not have to answer. The irony is that the law enforcement agents are the ones disrespecting the law here.

- “It is my hope that the steps I am announcing today will go a long way towards answering many of the questions people may have about the future of GM and Chrysler. But just in case there are still nagging doubts, let me say it as plainly as I can — if you buy a car from Chrysler or General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired, just like always. Your warrantee will be safe. In fact, it will be safer than it’s ever been. Because starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warrantee.”
- “There are certain things only a government can do,” Mr. Obama said. “And one of those things is ensuring that the foods we eat, and the medicines we take, are safe and do not cause us harm.”
The two comments above made me laugh out loud at how utterly absurd they are. Anyone who believes either of these statements probably were at the President’s inauguration with a wet handkerchief.
These statements praising government are 100% nonsense.

Back on January 1, 2009 I had posted about a possible newspaper bailout. Now another unscrupulous politician, Benjamin Cardin (D) is proposing The Newspaper Revitalization Act.
If this ever moves forward, there is going to be a lot of nonsense from politicians about the newspaper industry and tradition, and so on.
The fact is that they have been failing because they: Read More »
